Corrosion is a process that can cause various deteriorations in metal and similar materials due to physical, chemical, or even electrochemical influences in the environment. These effects include abrasion, destruction, decay, and weakening of reinforcement. While corrosion is frequently observed in building materials such as iron and steel, it also has similar effects on various and diverse metals. These effects are generally caused by sudden changes in weather conditions, which can be considered physical effects. Furthermore, the effects of raindrops on materials are also chemical. Weather conditions don't just cause corrosion on materials; they also cause electrochemical reactions, such as irregularities in electrical currents. If we carefully examine the causes of corrosion:

1-Oxygen Reaction: This is inevitable, as oxygen is one of the primary elements that make our world a livable environment. When oxygen comes into contact with a metal surface, it causes the metal to oxidize, even slightly, which causes the metal to rust and gradually weaken.

3- Effects of Acidic and Basic Environments: The pH level of the material's environment also affects corrosion. Both acidic and basic environments cause chemical damage to the material and cause it to deteriorate.
